Answers

How do I become a Centrepoint member?

Please follow this two-step process:

1. Complete the online application form on the Centrepoint website.

2. Pay your membership fee (for details of how to do this please refer to “How can I pay my membership fee?” below). Please note that payment is separate to the online application form.

Important note. If you do not pay your membership fee within two weeks of completing the online application form, your application will be cancelled and your details will be deleted from our database.

How much is the membership fee?

Standard membership is CHF 95.- per 12 months from the month of registration. All household members are covered.

Student membership is CHF 65.- per 12 months from the month of registration. Student membership only covers the student and requires proof of student status.

How can I pay my membership fee?

There are three ways to pay your membership fee.

1. E-banking.  Our address is Centrepoint, Im Lohnhof 8, 4051 Basel. Our account number is 45-459899-5 and our IBAN is CH05 0900 0000 4545 9899 5. Our BIC clearing number is 9000. The necessary details for paying by E-banking are also printed on the Centrepoint red payment slip (Einzahlungsschein) that we will send to you by post shortly after you complete the online registration.

2. At the Post office.  Complete the Centrepoint red payment slip (Einzahlungsschein), that we will send to you by post shortly after you complete the online registration, and take it with cash to the Post Office. The Post Office also has blank red payment slips that you can complete.

3. At your bank.  This will vary from bank to bank.

For security reasons it is not possible to use cash at Centrepoint to pay your membership fee.

Important note. Whichever payment method you use, please write your name and membership number in the box marked ‘Zahlungszweck / Motif versement / Motivo versamento / Payment reference’ so that we can match your payment to your application.

What happens once I have completed the online application form and paid my membership fee?

Once you have completed the online application form and paid your membership fee, the Centrepoint Membership Team will process your application. Once your membership has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email, followed by your membership card, which will be sent by post. Please allow up to three weeks to receive your confirmation email. Membership cards are printed and posted once a month, usually at the start of the month.

How do I know when my next renewal payment is due?

You will receive a payment slip and renewal letter by post. It really helps us if you pay your fees promptly.
