Membership Information and Policy

Last updated: 17 March 2023

A Centrepoint Membership is open to any person who wishes to use Centrepoint’s programmes and facilities and supports the purposes of the organisation.

1. Membership Types Offered by Centrepoint

1.1 Standard Membership

All household members are covered by this membership type. A household incorporates any group of people living together at the same address.

Fee: CHF 110.- per 12-month period from the month of registration.

1.2 Student Membership

A student membership is granted if the member is registered as a full-time student, unsupported by a partner in the same household. A student membership is individual and cannot be held by more than one person. Proof of student status must be submitted at the time of registration.

Fee: CHF 65.- per 12-month period from the month of registration.

2. Membership Fees

2.1 Changes to annual fees are proposed and approved at the Centrepoint Annual General Meeting.

2.2 Members who have not paid their membership fee will be reminded to do so once by email. If we have no valid email address, then only the original invoice will be sent.  If no payment is received members are removed from the active membership roll within three months of their 'renewal date' and totally deleted from the membership database shortly after this.

2.3 Membership fees are not refundable.

3. Membership Rights and Responsibilities

3.1 At the Annual General Meeting each membership shall have one vote, regardless of the number of people (individual members) covered by the membership.

3.2 The Governing Board reserve the right to expel any member who acts in a manner prejudicial to the interests of Centrepoint.

4. Code of Conduct

4.1 Centrepoint expects its Members to behave with respect of other members and to the wider community we live in. It expects Members attending events/programmes to respect the other attendees and to behave considerately towards event/programme leaders.

4.2 Centrepoint expects its Members to respect not only people, but also their property and that of Centrepoint.  Parents are requested to supervise their children.  All Members are expected to adhere to Centrepoint’s policies and guidelines.

5. Member Complaints and Suggestions

Centrepoint is very keen to listen to complaints and suggestions from Members and Stakeholders to ensure it can continue to develop its community and services. Complaints and suggestions should be made in writing to the relevant Board Member or to the Centrepoint President. We will acknowledge any complaints or suggestions made.

6. Personal Accident Insurance

Centrepoint expects its members to be covered by personal accident insurance.
