Regular Social Events

Regular social events are held for members and guests. They provide a way to relax with other speakers of English, make friends, share interests and exchange information. One regular coffee morning is held in German to support members who are learning German and want to practise in an informal setting. We welcome non-members to find out more about us at our events, thereafter you must become a Centrepoint member.

Regular events include:

Weekly Friday Coffee Mornings – these are held at Centrepoint each Friday between 10:30 and 12:30 and are open to all members, their guests and friends. This is a good opportunity for anyone interested in Centrepoint to find out more about us. The Membership Team welcomes everyone at the door and looks after any new or potential members, ensuring they are introduced to existing members. Coffee, tea and biscuits are offered. There is no charge but small donations are welcome.

Weekly Kaffee auf Deutsch – each Wednesday between 10:30 and 12:30 a coffee morning is held in German at Centrepoint. This provides the opportunity to practise German in a friendly environment whilst having a cup of tea or coffee. Members and potential members with all levels of German knowledge are welcome. There is no charge but small donations are welcome.

Monthly Evening Aperos – these are held at Centrepoint for members and their guests. Wine and snacks are provided at a small charge to members and a slightly higher charge to non-members. They offer an opportunity to socialise with other English speakers, meet new members and catch up with what is happening in Centrepoint. This is especially valued by members who work during the day.
