Centrepoint will be hard locked over Easter, starting on Thursday 18th April at 17:00.  It will reopen at 09:00 on Tuesday 23rd April.  When Centrepoint is hard locked, it is not possible to enter using the door key pad.

Italian artist Monica Vaccari is uniquely dedicated to the human face, exploring it in ceramics and photography in a way that straddles the worlds between representational accuracy and more abstract and conceptual iconography.

Monica's photographs will be on view at Centrepoint through the end of April.  Join us at the vernissage on Friday, 5th April from 18:00 to 20:30.  Take the opportunity of the Artwall's free and open apero to bring friends along and those newcomers curious about Centrepoint.

Just a reminder that the Joint English Book Sale is on Friday & Saturday 5th and 6th April at Basel West Library.

Come and buy good quality secondhand books and DVDs.

This is a Centrepoint collaboration with the GGG, American Women's Club and the Anglican Church Basel.  Proceeds from the event are shared between the four organisations.

Centrepoint will be hard locked over Fasnacht, starting on Friday, 8th March at 17:00.  It will reopen on Thursday, 14th March at 09:00.  This means nobody will be able to enter Centrepoint without a key.

There will be no apero at Centrepoint in March.  Instead we hope to see you all at the Annual General Meeting, where there will be an apero after the official business is completed.

Gergana Mantscheva was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she studied painting at the National Academy of Art.  Gergana's imagery is dominated by realism, strongly influenced by the socialist background of her homeland.  

Come and join us for the opening of Gergana's exhibition on Friday, 1st March from 18:00 to 21:00.  This event is free to attend and please feel free to bring along family and friends. Her work can be seen though the end of end March during usual Centrepoint opening hours.

Artist and Centrepoint member, Sabina Fritzsche, was recently interviewed on The English Show and you can listen to her interview here (on the page displayed, click on the "play" button to hear the interview). 

Fritzsche's mixed media "Flower Power" paintings are still on display at Centrepoint during normal opening hours until the February 23rd, 2019.   Visiting the exhibition is free and open to everyone.

Muba is Switzerland's largest consumer trade fair and it comes to the Messe, Basel, this Friday, 8th February until the 17th February.  Sadly, this is the last ever Muba trade fair.

Entry is free and all visitors who display a carnival badge (der Fasnachtsplakette) will receive a free cinnamon roll and a coffee every day from 10:00 to 12:00 at the IKEA restaurant in hall 2.1.

The doors open at 10:00 and close at 19:00 although the closing times do vary slightly so please check the Muba website here for full details.

The next Artwall will display work by Centrepoint member and artist Sabina Fritzsche, showing her mixed media "Flower Power" paintings.  You may already know her from her Art Walks organised through Centrepoint.
