    Basler Hockey Club (BHC) invites Centrepoint members to watch hockey at the weekend.

    Saturday 30th May: Men's 1st XI Game play at 14:00 against Luzern.

    Sunday 31st May: Men's 2nd XI play at 11:00; Women's 1st XI play at 13:00; and then Men's 1st XI play at 15:00.  This is the final weekend of the season for the Men’s 1st XI, with BHC in with a chance of winning the league.

    The hockey on offer is at a high level, with Basel currently having two full Swiss National team members, seven under 18 Swiss National team members, and a mix of ex-international players (Austria, Germany, Switzerland).

    The hockey takes place at Rankhof Sportzentrum (buses 31 and 38, bus stop Sportzentrum Rankhof).  Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

    After April 7, 2015 donations can be made to the Basel West Library

    Donations of gently used books - particularly children’s books for all ages - are welcome. Storage space is limited, so please double check the condition of your donation. The suggested copyright for non-fiction titles is 2010-2015. Please help by donating books!

    Vogel Gryff falls on Tuesday, January 20 in 2015. The three heraldic figures Vogel Gryff, Wild Maa and Leu, will arrive by raft at Klingental at approximately 11.00.  They will dance on the Mittleren Bruecke at noon, then wind their way through Kleinbasel’s streets and alleys, dancing and collecting money for the needy. The event ends late in the evening. Details of the timings can be found at

    For an entrance fee of CHF24 (CHF15 with the Museums Card, free for under 25s with an Ausweis), it is possible to visit many museums in the area between 1800 and 0200. Many of the museums will be holding special events throughout the evening.  Free transport between different locations is provided.
