Expat-Expo is a one-day event designed especially for the English-speaking residents of Switzerland.  The event gathers various local English-speaking businesses, organisations, museums, clubs and service providers together to showcase their goods and services.

This year's Basel event takes place at the Congress Center/Basel Messe on Sunday, May 21st from 11:00 to 17:00. Admission is free and Centrepoint will have a stand so why not visit us there?

"Landscape" is the title artist Stephan Hauswirth chose for his exhibition on Centrepoint's Artwall featuring around 50 small, almost monochrome paintings, half depicting concrete buildings and the other half mountains and hills.

Stephan Hauswirth grew up in Basel and his artwork has been exhibited regularly in galleries and museums in Switzerland, Germany and France.  

Join us on Friday, 19th May, from 18:00 to 20:00 for the Artwall Vernissage.  The vernissage is free and no reservation is necessary.  It is open to members and non-members so it can be a good opportunity to bring a new friend to Centrepoint, meet the artist, and learn a bit more about the art which will be displayed at Centrepoint through 24th August 2017.

Centrepoint Members can now read the colour electronic version of Horizon by logging onto the website.

"Reflections", the first exhibition of Centrepoint's Photography Group, has been receiving local media attention, from the "bz Basellandshaftliche Zeitung" and "Hello Switzerland" amongst others.

Centrepoint will be hard-locked from 17:00 on Thursday 13th April until Monday 17th April inclusive.  It will reopen again at 09:00 on Tuesday 18th April.

Kate Watson is the new Centrepoint President, having been elected to the position at the Board Meeting on the 28th March.

From Wednesday, 22nd March to Wednesday, 17th May the Centrepoint Photography Group will display the result of their work on the theme of "Reflection" on the Artwall.  

All Centrepoint members and non-members are warmly invited to the vernissage from 18:00 - 20:00.

There is no charge for this event and no need to book.

Join Diccon Bewes the author of the best selling 'Swiss Watching' in a hilarious (but serious) talk about Swissness, the etiquette of getting along and much more.

Come along on Thursday 23rd February, doors open at 18:45 for a 19:00 start.  This event will take place in the Lohnhof Foyer.  An apero and door prize draw are included in the entry fee: CHF 10,-- for Centrepoint Members and CHF 15,-- for guests.
