Newsletter Coordinator

The Newsletter Coordinator is a key member of the Communications Team. Its primary responsibility is to oversee the production of Centrepoint’s “Horizon” newsletter. For more information, click here.

IT Coordinator

The IT Coordinator is a key member of the Volunteers Team and is responsible for Centrepoint’s computers, printers and wifi. For more information, click here.

Centrepoint members are invited to join us to celebrate the 25th Anniversary Party of Centrepoint. We will start with the “Essence of Centrepoint" Vernissage, an exhibition showcasing Centrepoint members’ art.

Afterwards, we go downstairs to toast our Anniversary and enjoy food, drinks, and the music of the DJ.

Place: Centrepoint and the Im Lohnhof inner courtyard

Who: This is a Members only event

Cost: CHF 45 per person including food and drinks

The Front Desk will revert to the usual opening times from 1st September 2022, as follows:

Sunday & Monday - Closed

Tuesday & Wednesday - 09:00 - 13:00

Thursday - 09:00 - 17:00

Friday - 09:00 - 13:00

Saturday - First Saturday of the month 11:00 - 13:00 or otherwise closed.

Centrepoint has launched a special program in response to the extraordinary arrival of refugees from the conflict in Ukraine. The initial focus of this initiative is on English Conversation Groups to help S-status holders from Ukraine to maintain or improve their English skills.

At its core is an offer for a limited number of S-status holders to take out a regular one-year membership at a reduced rate after a one-month free trial period. Donations from a new fund within Centrepoint will subsidize the remaining portion.

If you are a Centrepoint member and would like to help with the initiative, we are looking for volunteers to lead a new English (or German) Conversation Group. Please email conversations[at]centrepoint.ch for more information.

A search facility has been added to the website to allow content to be found more easily.

To search the website, from the Home page, simply type a word into the “Search website” field, which is located below the Centrepoint logo. Results showing pages that contain the word are displayed and can be clicked to display the full page.

Please note that search results are restricted according to access permissions. Therefore, members need to login first to include the Members’ Area in searches.

The Centrepoint Front Desk will remain open during July and August as normal except for the following:

• on Thursdays the desk will close at 13:00 (instead of 17:00)

• the desk will not open on the first Saturday of the month (i.e. the desk will be closed on weekends)

It has become a tradition for Centrepoint’s Artwall to organise a special exhibition during the annual Art Basel Week and this year will not be an exception. In June 2022, we will be showing artworks by two artists Liza Bobkova and Irina Petrakova.

Please join us at Centerpoint for the vernissage on Tuesday 14th June from 18:00 until 21:00. Everyone is welcome and there is no need to book, just come along.

Centrepoint is hosting a table at the ISB's 31st International Festival on Saturday 4th June from 11:00 until 16:00. As well as Centrepoint's table, there will be food and drink from the various countries represented by ISB families, a Cultural Showcase (including Scottish dancers and alphorns), a raffle where you can win a "country basket", and you can also cheer on students taking part in various sports activities. Please come along and enjoy the event as well as say hello to the Centrepoint volunteers staffing our table.
