    From Friday 12th of June the Mindfulness and Meditation Group will once again take place in person at Centrepoint.

    All members are welcome and it is not necessary to register, but please note the COVID-19 related measures that currently apply at Centrepoint, as outlined in the email sent to members on the 4th of June 2020.

    We are pleased to announce that from the 12th of June, the weekly Friday coffee morning will once again take place in person at Centrepoint. Please join us between 10:30 and 12:15 for coffee or tea and a friendly chat.

    Please note that, as per the email sent to Members on the 4th of June 2020, certain COVID-19 related measures apply.

    A maximum of 15 members or guests, including any front desk and other volunteers, may be present at any one time at Centrepoint. Therefore, please be considerate of other members who may also want to attend the coffee morning. Please do check from time to time with the Front Desk whether other members are waiting to attend and shorten your own stay in such circumstances.

    You are encouraged to register your planned attendance at the coffee morning by calling the Front Desk in advance.

    In line with Swiss Government advice, Centrepoint is pleased to advise of the further extension of its Front Desk hours and easing of COVID-19 related restrictions.

    From 9th June, Centrepoint's Front Desk hours are Tuesday to Friday, 09:00 - 13:00, with a limit of 15 people at any one time.

    Please contact your group leader for more information about group activities.

    For more information and guidelines about hygiene measures and the use of Centrepoint premises, please refer to the email sent to Members on 4th June 2020.

    It is expected that the revised Front Desk hours will apply until the end of August.

    Are you missing sharing a glass of wine and nibbles at Centrepoint?  Why not join us for a virtual get-together with other members?  Bring your favourite wine or aperitif of choice.

    In preparation for the event, you can watch our wonderful Apéro Coordinator, Wouter, as he creates drinks, shares recipes for favourite nibbles and recommends wine for our very first Centrepoint online Apéro.

    Beginning May 11th and until further notice, Centrepoint will be open Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 10:45 am. 

    To comply with the Swiss Government guidelines, the use of the Library will be organised as follows:

    - One (1) front desk volunteer will be present.

    - Four (4) additional members will be present inside the Centrepoint premises at the same time.

    - Two more members may be present in the waiting room (located on the 1st floor landing).

    - The Board asks any other members to wait outside in the front courtyard.

    - In consideration of other members, please remain in the library only as long as necessary to make your book and DVD selection(s).

    The kitchen will remain closed until further notice.

    Please continue to follow the Swiss Government's recommendation on hygiene rules and social distancing.

    We ask all members to review the Federal Office of Public Health guidelines, when considering volunteering.  These can be found here, under the link "Coronavirus: Easing the measures". 

    All volunteer activities are at each member's discretion.

    The Swiss authorities announced further easing of COVID-19 related restrictions which will take effect as of May 11th.  Restaurants, museums and libraries will be allowed to open.  Importantly, social distancing and restrictions to the size of gatherings (5 people), still apply.  People are encouraged to stay at home as much as possible, in particular the elderly (65 years and older).  See here for the latest information from the Federal Office of Public Health.

    The board is drawing up plans for a gradual re-opening of Centrepoint at Im Lohnhof and will include events and activities.  Further details will be published this week on the website and in the Weekly Briefing.
