Vacancy IT-Coordinator

The Centrepoint organisation is run entirely by volunteers. More and more we rely on IT-tools to collaborate, to inform and to organise our activities. Last year, we made a plan to strengthen our IT. Under the guidance of Charlie Schneiter, we already made some significant steps. Unfortunately, Charlie had to step down in January. To further develop and strengthen Centrepoint’s IT-infrastructure and -administration, we are looking for a new IT-coordinator.

The person in this role is closely working together with the Board Secretary and will lead the IT-support team that supports Centrepoint’s IT-infrastructure and -administration:

  • Network (telephone, WiFi)
  • Hardware (printers, PC, desktop, etc.)
  • Software tools

There will be a learning curve to go through which requires you to invest time in understanding the current IT environment and get to know the competency and expertise of your support team.  So we estimate that your workload may initially take up to 6-8 hours per week.  Once the cleanup/setup is complete, the weekly time demand with ongoing maintenance should be much reduced.

Certainly, this role will give you a sense of accomplishment, knowing that you are helping others!

If you are interested in picking up this exciting and important role, please contact Anna Li (secretary@centrepoint.ch) and Jan-Willem van Wijck (president@centrepoint.ch). We are looking forward to your email!
