Following a perfect start to the summer at the St Louis Buvette on 27th June, we now invite you to the second evening get-together on 25th July.

Public Transport: St. Johanns Tor (Tram #11)At the Saint Louis Buvette on the Grossbasel side of the Rhine, you can enjoy the wonderful evening mood in a romantic atmosphere far away from the crowds. Treat yourself to a fresh, tasty meal such as the popular fish crispies (now also vegi and vegane), delicious “Baslerbrote” sandwiches or large salad bowls. Many refreshing drinks are home-made and there is a new beer every month.

A popular weekly chance to meet other members, make friends and chat over a cup of coffee or tea. There are volunteers at the coffee morning to welcome new members and show guests around.

From Barfüsserplatz you can take the stairs via Lohnhofgässlein (1) to Lohnhof (blue arrows) or follow the tram tracks up Kohleberg (2) (green). The nearest tram station is Musik-Akademie (3, purple). More instructions
Volunteering
Whatever your interests, skills or time budget, you are welcome to contribute. Start your own activity group, lead a conversation group, organize events, help with marketing or become a volunteer for a day..

Would you like to help other Centrepoint members improve their speaking skills in French? We are looking for a fluent French speaker to start a new conversation group for learners at intermediate level.

Centrepoint is looking for volunteers to help at events during the day or the evening. We intend to create a pool of volunteers, to whom we send an e-mail when an event is coming up. The volunteers just sign up when they are available.
What will you do? Basically you assist the leader of the event in registering the participants, organising the payments, preparing the set up (and apero if needed) and related issues. You will be trained by the Volunteers or Activities Coordinator about how to proceed.
We are looking in particular for volunteers supporting events such as workshops, talks, vernissages, presentations and trips.

Front Desk Hours
Centrepoint can be visited during the opening hours to connect with members. The Front Desk Volunteers are open for questions and will be happy to help.
Summer Opening Times: The Centrepoint front desk will remain open during July and August as normal except on Thursdays the desk will close at 13:00 (instead of 17:00)

A new conversation group welcomes everyone interested in things poetic and verbal. No special knowledge of poetry is required, just curiosity. This is an intermediate/advanced level group. It will take place on either Tuesday 16.00-16.55 or Wednesday 16.00-16.55 depending on level of interest.
